SXSW 2012 x REDBULL EXTRAVAGANZA

Didn't think I would be out at SXSW this year when randomly I had the opportunity to shoot archival photos for RedBull events. Don't think I will ever forget this experience got to see a bunch of old friends from New York along with shooting to top it off.
The last night shooting for Redbull 3 styles was nuts I had access to shoot on stage with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Erykah Badu, Nas, & The Crystal Method. Take a journey through my adventures during SXSW:

ARAABMUZIK SXSW

Craze how things workout. It was only 3 years ago when I shot AraabMuzik's mixtape cover and now hes traveling around the world performing sold out shows. I was invited to see his show for the kick off of SXSW's interactive turnable show performing with Flying Lotus. These are some photos I took with my iphone.

VIRGIN MARY

Recently found a cd of images I had shot on my first roll of film with a concept of shooting the virgin mary & good vs. evil.

These photos were taken i'd say in 2006 or 2007. Good times being weird in my kitchen and living room and creating different settings with white sheets, ketchup, face paint, and a lamp for exaggerative lighting. Thanks Valentina, Nate, & Tola you guys rule for going along with this and having fun with this shoot it def brought back a lot of memories and fun times!

This month I've been focusing on my health and finding inspiration.

Although I haven't been productive taking photos these days my photographs have been published in the last month in 3 different online photo blogs/magazine. So thats pretty exciting feel semi-accomplished? since I haven't picked up a camera in weeks.
